Civic Engagement and Community Education
The Civic Engagement and Community Education program promotes community service and strengthens the work of community partners through advocacy and social justice training. The program connects professionals, students and community members with volunteer opportunities through our volunteer hub, MCN Serves where we have created volunteer opportunities with NY Cares, Habitat for Humanity and the monthly soup kitchen we run at Holy Trinity Church. MCN also sponsors trainings responding to emerging needs such as media relations and social justice organizing.
