Many programs for youth focus on the skills and understanding they will need to be effective leaders when they grow up. At MCN, we empower youth to abolish poverty, empower the needy, defend civil rights of the oppressed, and bridge cultural and religious divides TODAY. Don’t take our word for it. Hear what Summer, a recent MY NYC graduate, has to say about the difference between MY NYC and other leadership programs:
When I first joined MCN, I thought that it would be like any other leadership program where we discuss and implement leadership within closed sessions. But throughout the program, I enhanced my views on leadership when many inspirational leaders shared their thoughts and experiences with us. What really made MCN stand out from other leadership organizations is that it not only broadened our knowledge of leadership, but also demanded that in order to graduate, we had to use our knowledge to implement our ideas. Alhamdulillah.
Through supporting MY NYC, you are multiplying the number of active, engaged youth changing our communities. We need your help to expand this success to other youth across the city. Help us meet this opportunity, and empower hundreds of girls like Summer. We need to raise $20,000 to ensure our ability to run our third yearlong MY NYC program this fall and continue our vital interfaith and social justice work. Join us by making a donation of $250, $100, or $50 to support bringing the MY NYC program to new communities throughout New York City.
Eid mubarak and jazakallah khair for your support,
