The largest peaceful gathering on Earth draws over 20 million people every year. Yet, the commemoration of the tragedy of Karbala is an event that many around the world know little to nothing about.
On Wednesday, March 4th at 7:00pm, we will kick off “The Tragedy of Karbala” Book Tour, starting in New York City. Thoroughly researched and written in the author’s signature narrative style, join us as we discuss a book that explores a seminal event in Islamic history that provides crucial context surrounding geopolitics in the Muslim-majority world today.
Congressman Keith Ellison (D-MN) said, “It was not until I read The Tragedy of Karbala that I understood the meaning of the phrase ‘Every Day is Ashura, Every Land is Karbala.’”
The Book Tour will continue in cities across North America throughout the year leading up to the month of Muharram (this year falling in Oct/Nov), when the tragedy is commemorated all over the world. If you would like to organize an event with the author in your city, please contact us at info@mohsena.org.
Signed books will be available at the NYC event or can be ordered online here: https://www.paypal.com/
This event is co-sponsored by Mohsena Memorial Foundation (MMF) and Muslim Community Network (MCN) and is open to the public.
