Join us on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at JCC Manhattan (334 Amsterdam Avenue at 76th St, New York, NY 10023). Event time is 7pm-9pm.

“Why do you stay?” It is a common question women are asked in relation to their faith, especially women who claim a feminist identity, membership in a particular religious tradition, and practice their faith in spite of gendered challenges. Muslim Community Network in collaboration with JCC Manhattan is co-sponsoring a special event with Jennifer Zobair, Amy Levin, and Gina Messina-Dysert, the editors of the newly released book, Faithfully Feminist: Jewish, Christian, and Muslim Feminists on Why We Stay. They will discuss the book and their own individual faith journeys and will be joined in conversation by several Jewish, Christian, and Muslim feminists whose essays are featured in the book. For more on the book visit www.faithfullyfeminist.com.

Please register for the event here.

Co-sponsored by the Interfaith Center of New York, The Milstein Center for Interreligious Dialogue at JTS, Union Theological Seminary, and the Muslim Community Network.
