The Muslim Community Network is extremely saddened by the recent tragedy in Orlando. Today we stand in solidarity with all the families of the victims of the Orlando Massacre and LGBT communities in Florida and around the country. Our thoughts and prayers go out to each person that has been impacted by this senseless massacre. We condemn this horrific act of mass murder and the misuse of any ideology or faith that perpetuates violence and hate.

MCN also calls upon on our political leaders and public officials to restrain from fanning Islamophobic flames or pointing fingers at others. We know that hate and anger can never generate a positive response to any tragedy. We call upon all the communities in our midst to come together in love and compassion and immediately start the healing process.
