His mentor, Maeshal Abid, has extensive experience on Wall Street, and worked with Shayan on developing his soft skills when interviewing and networking for finance opportunities. As a result, Shayan secured a summer internship for Northwestern Mutual in their Wealth Management division.[/vc_column_text]

He met his mentor, Wissam Hamou, at one of the Bridge program workshops and stayed in touch with him regarding internship opportunities in the field of medicine. Through his connections, Wissam helped Issa secure a summer internship at Mt. He is interested in pursuing careers in media and was able to connect with Dean Obeidallah through the Bridge program. Dean hosts weekly radio show on Sirius XM and has agreed to let Ismail work with him for studio sessions in order to get a better understanding of the production side of media. He recently connected with a Bridge workshop guest speaker, Ahmed Mohamed, who is CAIR NY’s Litigation Director. Her dream is to work at the Metropolitan Museum of Art as a Graphic Designer. She is looking to build her network with individuals in the Arts and Museum space in order to set herself up for future success. She recently connected with Sangeetha Kowsik, who has worked as a creative design consultant for various fashion and artistic brands in New York including the Met. Iqra is interested in pursuing a career in International Relations and Business. She connected with a guest speaker at one of our recent workshops who serves as the UN foreign affairs correspondent for Anadolu Agency. The guest speaker, Betul Yuruk, has promised to work with Iqra this summer on a few shadowing opportunities.
