MCN has launched the COVID-19 Response Hotline to serve the diverse Muslim communities of New York City. The purpose of this hotline is to ensure that Muslim community members who are often from immigrant backgrounds, face language barriers, and have limited access to online and city resources, can access institutions and volunteers who can help serve a need, whether it is in retrieving information in language, or for a particular service need.

With the partnership of our community-based organizations (CBOs) and volunteers, we are able to provide information and help facilitate resources to community members in eight different languages (Bengali, Urdu, French, Arabic, Farsi, Hindi, Soninke, and Bambara). We are proud to be partnering with: Arab American Association of NY; House of Peace; Masjid us Sabur; Islamic Cultural Center; Mic for Justice; Majlis-Ash-Shura: Islamic Leadership Council of NY; Muslims Against Hunger; Turning Point for Women and Families; and Women for Afghan Women on this hotline.

We are going to be adding more CBOs to this list in the coming weeks. We also have a group of amazing volunteers who will be taking calls, and online requests.

Please share the number – 888-409-0063 – widely with your networks. To share the online request form with your network, please visit: MCN Covid-19 Help Request Form.
