Leadership Development

Our successful youth programs have provided participants with outlets to promote and inspire confidence, curiosity, and leadership skills, helping them develop the tools necessary to become civically conscious members of society.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]

Youth Leadership Development

Muslim Youth NYC (MY NYC) empowers the next generation of leaders by providing them with the opportunity to learn valuable leadership skills, such as root cause analysis, community organizing and conflict resolution; develop their confidence and identity as leaders; and initiate social justice projects of their choosing to address issues of importance to them. The after school program takes place in an interactive hands-on environment during the academic year. Students of all faiths and backgrounds are encouraged to apply for the program.

The MY NYC Bridge youth mentorship program connects college and high school students to positive role models within the broader Muslim Community who are making an impact in their professional fields. The mentorship format has proven to be of critical importance for encouraging youth to explore potential career paths, boost their confidence and self-esteem, and understand how they can positively contribute to their communities. Email Shiraz Bheda at shiraz.bheda@mcnny.calliope.consulting to learn more about becoming a mentor or mentee.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″]
