Hotline Report

At MCN we’re committed to being accountable to our generous supporters. Therefore, we’re pleased to share with you a profile of how our COVID-19 Hotline has been a support to vulnerable families affected by the coronavirus. In three months since we started our hotline (on April 24, 2020) we have received 56 cases, and were able to provide assistance to all. Calls came from Brooklyn, the Bronx, Manhattan, and Queens, with the highest number from Queens. Of the 56 calls, the majority were for cash assistance (78.6%) followed by food assistance (57.1%).

Our hotline for hope also demonstrates the incredible partnerships we’ve been able to establish across the Muslim nonprofit landscape, with partners like: Zakat Fund of NYC, Muslims Against Hunger, Turning Point for Women and Families, and more!
