Muslim Women's Civic Empowerment Program
The Muslim Womens Civic Empowerment Program aims to empower older, often erased, marginalized Muslim women through empowerment, know your rights, and civic engagement workshops. The program is rooted in the belief that Muslim women are powerful, individually and collectively. We believe that by providing them with civic education and leadership development, we can enhance the ways in which they can positively contribute to their communities and society at large!
Program Goals
Facilitate skill-building workshops, empowerment workshops, and civic education workshops for older, often erased, marginalized immigrant Muslim women and connect Muslim women in hard-to-reach communities with each other.
Build relationships with Masjid and other community organizations with the goal of empowering Muslim women and advocating for the creation of inclusive Muslim women spaces at Masjids and increased Muslim women participation in local civic engagement activities.
